Tuesday April 16th

Emmie was still not eating/drinking well.  So being nervous parents we had her seen at the hotel doctor to ensure she didn't have a sore throat interfering with swallowing but she is totally healthy.  We also consulted our pediatrician at home via email.  Of course in the hotel room Emmie would not take her bottle at all but as soon as we walked into the doc office wouldn't you know it - she started drinking it -!  Mary suggested that maybe the hotel room is distracting and to try feeding her in the lobby. 
So Tuesday was a quiet day spending it bonding with our little girl.  Michael took Maddie swimming at the indoor pool and I successfully fed Emmie sitting in a coffee shop and also by the pool.
In the evening we got together with a bunch of other families who are also here adopting and had a group dinner at our hotel, The Galactic Peace Hotel.  Maddie adores Jonathan who is 5.  He just became a big brother.  The two of them are often seen dancing, singing, and playing bumper cars in the pool (bumping into each other with floats on in the shallow kiddie pool) laughing hysterically the whole time.  There was at least 10 min of laughing over Pete from Mickey Mouse turning pink in one of Jonathan's books (I guess you have to be 4 or 5 to understand the humor)!
